It's been 2 1/2 weeks. I keep seeing all these amazing stories in Keto groups of massive amounts of weight lost within just 1 week. I've noticed that aside from having energy, being more clear-headed and a regulated sleep schedule, I'm just not losing weight. In the past, I would never weigh myself. I simply did the program and felt accomplished when my clothes loosened up. This time my clothes feel the same. Ugh.

I've had struggles with carb cravings, GI issues, fatigue, body aches and more. I was so discouraged thinking that I am sacrificing sugar (which as some know is not easy given the addictive nature of the substance) and not losing anything. So I bought a scale! And guess what?? ONE pound! A pound! That's it!! :(

I've complained to Aaron on several occasions that I am discouraged about feeling sick and miserable. Upon  his evaluation, I was not doing what I should have been. Because of my carb cravings, I've been experimenting with Lily chocolate (1/2 candy bar tasted sooooo good, but landed me in bed for a whole day with diarrhea, stomach pain and fatigue). I made a chocolate mousse (which was amazing and eaten by others in my house) and I overloaded on fat. Cheese and bacon and stuff and more stuff and recipes and ...you see the pattern. I also have NOT logged any food into My Fitness Pal to track macros and gauge what I am doing.

The bottom line-One pound in 2 weeks.

When Aaron and I started this, I was determined that I was going to do this organically with no processed foods. I was going to be a hero because I am a "professional dieter"! Yeah right!! Let me repeat-One pound. Thankfully, I have Aaron to lean on and remind me that I've made this way more complicated than I should have. Meat for protein, fats and 20g of carbs. Simple.

I watched a movie yesterday called That Sugar Film, which was a great documentary about a man who was eating meats, fats and carbs (carbs only from veggies) and decided to eat low cal "healthy" foods for 2 months to show how much sugar is in what the food industry labels as "low cal". I learned so much about not only sugar, but how to eat clean and simply. So between the documentary and my amazing, logical boyfriend I have a renewed sense about me today!!

I got out My Fitness Pal and logged the shit out of it! I determined that I want to stay under 130 protein, 80 fats and 20 carbs per day. Given the logging, I confirmed that I have been eating way too much fat and not enough veggies. I am excited now and determined to get back to basics and do this right!

I have heard many people say that everyone's journey is different and we all have to find our own way. Well, I think I finally found my path. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! :)
